About Juliana:

Most people know me as Juliana Delamere. I'm what you would call "ADHD" about things in the SCA. I love the arts (in fact, I do a little of everything), but I like throwing sharp pointy things (thrown weapons), and am usually up for trying new things. My original persona was portarying an early fifteenth century lady near London, but I love having clothes & items of all periods. I also seem to get kidnapped by Vikings more frequently lately. (I'm a founding member of The Valkyries.) Living with a viking, I have researched many Viking era textiles, and art forms. I started sewing my own (and friends) garb years ago and realize that I'm addicted to fabric now. (My mother would have been so proud.) A girl can't have too many clothes, can she? I'm a self proclaimed string geek, between needlework, weaving and other "string" things. I love tablet weaving, but by no means am I the "weaver" of the family. That title goes to Valgardr. :) I'm interested in doing embroidery, especially blackwork. Yep, I'm a geek cause I enjoy doing the documenation & research too. In fact, I wrote all the documentation for the Fairmont Fiber Freaks at Ice Dragon 2006 & am proud to say we won the Zog award for best documentaion. :) I also do illiminations, though I'm by no means an "artist".

I'm a minister of the lists, and enjoying helping out where ever I can at events. I'm also considered dangerous as I am extremely interested in throwing axes, knives and twirling fire. I help run weekly thrown weapons practices for our local group. I'm trying to find time to fence at our local practices, but I think I have too many hobbies. I'm also very busy organizing events for our local shire and found that I really enjoy autocratting events. (Yeah, go figure, I'm very strange.) In fact, Valgardr & I have autocratted three events this past year (2006).

About Deb:

I'm originally from Spencer, WV where I lived my entire childhood and graduated from Roane County High School. (Go Raiders!) I ended up in Morgantown, where I attended WVU, and was a nanny for a wonderful little girl. I graduated with degrees in biology & history. I live with my wonderful husband and 4 spoiled cats when we aren't traveling. I love traveling and spending time/ spoiling with my god-child Elyse who I don't get to see often enough. I also spend tons of time doing web development and learning new development tools. No, I'm not a desperate housewife, I am far too busy.

As for twirling fire, I twirl poi (bascially a chain with a wick of fire in each hand), batons, staff, and I'm experimenting with fire fans. I joke and tell people that I am going to throw knives in one hand while I twirl fire in the other hand so I can go join the circus.
